Jacqueline Bissonnette studied at the Université de Montréal and was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 1983.  She chiefly practices insurance law, civil liability, labour law and civil law.

 
She regularly defends cases before Quebec courts.  She has delivered numerous insurance law and labour law presentations at various conferences.
