Marianne Bureau was born in Quebec City and studied at the Université Laval.  She was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 2000.    

   
After working in a legal department, she began practicing workplace group insurance and pension law.  She also practices labour law.

She has written articles on insurance law published in various periodicals.
