Renée-Claude Drouin was born in Ste-Foy and studied at the Université Laval.  She was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 1996.  She chiefly practices labour law and workplace health and safety law.

  
Ms. Drouin has been a member of Amnesty International since 1996 and was awarded the Lieutenant Governor’s Prize in 1996.  She ranked second in the Pierre Basile Mignault best respondent twosome contest (1995), was awarded second prize for best counsel in the quarter finals of the La Coupe du Doyen oral submission contest (1994) and third prize in the Les grands procès, à vous de juger oral submission contest (1994).
