Born in Quebec City, François Bourget-Duclos studied law at Université Laval. He was admitted to the Barreau du Québec in 2007. He primarily practices labour law, administrative law and civil law.

Mr. Bourget-Duclos received the prize for the best respondent tandem at the Université Laval "2005 Dean's Cup" submissions contest. He was also corrector for the Laval Université students legal review. In 2006, he participated in an international exchange and completed courses in international law at the Université René Descartes - Paris V.
